It's put on by the College Music Journal and The
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to bring
you: the Rockhall MusicFest. 3
days and 100 bands. Lots of music, networking,
featured speakers, and a daytime Festival
Village. Venues include Cleveland favorites like
the Odeon and the Agora,
among others.
Some of the bands included in past lineups
includ The Pixies, Stephen Malkmus
and the Jicks, the Futureheads, the Misfits,
Spoon, the Clientele, Mindless Self Indulgence,
Powerman 5000, El Pus, Nashville Pussy
and Digable Planets. There was also
a daytime discussion with legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash.
The MusicFest will feature as
many as 100 artists performing for tens
of thousands of music fans in Cleveland,
starting in an opening-night concert by
the Pixies at the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame and Museum.
The CMJ Rock Hall Musicfest has not announced any details behind its 2007 lineup yet. Check back for more details.
