Dubbed as "San Francisco's most awesomest annual music festival" by Fader magazine, the Noise Pop Music Festival is a torch bearer of noisy indie pop that has been around for over a decade.

Noise Pop started in 1993 as a one night deal with 5 bands in a small club, but has grown over time to include multiple days, multiple locations, film screenings, panels, and art. It has played host the Flaming Lips doing a boombox experiment, Frank Black and the Catholics doing Pixies songs, Death Cab For Cutie, 16 Deluxe, and more. They even tried to spawn a sister Noise Pop in Chicago in 2000.
