The word is out, Apple has announced its next special event called Let Loose on May 7. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. New York time.

Apple will be holding a virtual event, with people being able to watch a previously recorded presentation online. You can watch it at either apple.com or on the Apple TV app.

The expectation is that Apple will announce new iPads and accessories — look for a revamped iPad Pro and Air.

It's also worth considering that we might want to look for Apple to reveal a clue about its AI efforts, although that is much more likely to be revealed at WWDC.

The iPad Pro models will have 11-inch and 12.9-inch models with sharper new OLED displays. It will also run on the new M3 chip and work with redesigned versions of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

The new iPad Air will have a 12.9-inch screen option. The big rumor is that it will have aa mini-LED display, so we'll have to see whether or not that turns out to be true.
