Solid Sound 2019 is curated by Wilco and takes place at Mass Moca in North Adams, Massachusetts. Check out a lineup of music, comedy, art and community!
The festival was created by Wilco, and the band chooses various indie rock, jazz and indie folk bands as well as a group of comedians that frequently include John Hodgman for a weekend event. This is musical tribes playing out in real time -- Wilco has cultivated a mass following and lifestyle and Solid Sound is a celebration of this.
Jonathan Richman, John Hodgman's Comedy Cabaret, Jeff Tweey & Friends, The Minus 5 Clipping and Milo are also in the lineup!
There's also a comedy stage, local food, craft beer and other alcohol offerings, family events, naturalist activities and more.
You can find different options for Solid Sound that include camping or glamping in tents or RV's as well as residence hall lodging in Berkshire Towers for people that want a place to stay indoors. The Solid Sound dates are June 28 - 30, 2019.
Also available at Solid Sound this year is a “Friends of the Festival” pass that includes a private pop-up performance by Wilco, a festival poster signed by the band, an autographed copy of Jeff Tweedy's memoir Let’s Go (So We Can Get Back), a commemorative laminate, a private “flash tour” with museum director Joseph Thompson, another private pop-up performance by a band to named later, and access to a private lounge inside the museum.
